Zendaya Reveals the Reason Why She ‘Could Ever Be a Pop Star’

Zendaya is getting candid.

For, the multi-talented superstar is now revealing the reason why she “could ever be a pop star.’

Full story below…

Speaking to Andrew Garfield for Variety’s Actors on Actors, the pair discussed how the general public project their expectations onto stars. This led the actress to detail a conversation she had with her ‘Euphoria’ director Sam Levinson. During the conversation, she said:

“I was talking to Sam about this earlier. I was like I don’t know if I could ever be a pop star. It’s because as an actor, there’s a level of anonymity that I get to have, which I really like.”

“And I get to sort my stuff, whatever that is, through a character, and nobody needs to know about it. Whereas in other forms and other mediums, it’s all you all the time. I like the idea that somebody else, meaning Rue, gets to take on that stuff.”

She then went on to reveal that the biggest aspect holding her back from becoming a pop star are the boundaries.

While she may not have full-fledged pop ambition, Zendaya has been putting out songs here and there. Most recently, she was featured on the ‘Euphoria’ season 2 soundtrack.

Zendaya could be cashing in some big checks. For, she has allegedly earned a huge pay raise.

Full story below…

Puck’s Matthew Belloni reported that Zendaya “just closed a big re-negotiation” that puts her in the territory of what the actors of ‘Friends’ were making at the show’s peak, that being $1 million per episode of ‘Euphoria.’

The news comes after follow ‘Euphoria’ actress Sydney Sweeney discussed the pay scale in Hollywood with The Hollywood Reporter.

“They don’t pay actors like they used to, and with streamers, you no longer get residuals. The established stars still get paid, but I have to give 5 percent to my lawyer, 10 percent to my agents, 3 percent or something like that to my business manager. I have to pay my publicist every month, and that’s more than my mortgage,” she said.

It is worth noting that in Zendaya’s case, she does serve as an executive producer of the show and she has gone on to win two Emmy Awards for her role in the show.

Zendaya has paid emotional tribute to her ‘Euphoria’ co-star Angus Cloud.

As reported, the actor died yesterday (July 31) aged just 25.

The promising star’s life was cut short after being found unresponsive at his family’s home in Oakland, California.

Cloud’s exact cause of death hasn’t yet been disclosed, however his family expressed that he had been struggling with his mental health after burying his father just one week ago.

As fans, friends, colleagues, and family grapple with the grief brought on by his death, ‘Euphoria’ lead Zendaya has opened up about losing her “brother.”

Full story below…

Via Instagram, she wrote:

“Words are not enough to describe the infinite beauty that is Angus (Conor). I’m so grateful I got the chance to know him in this life, to call him a brother, to see his warm kind eyes and bright smile, or hear his infectious cackle of a laugh (I’m smiling now just thinking of it) I know people use this expression often when talking about folks they love…“they could light up any room they entered” but boy let me tell you, he was the best at it. I’d like to remember him that way. For all of the boundless light, love and joy he always managed to give us. I’ll cherish every moment.

My heart is with his mother and family at this time and please be kind and patient as grief looks different for everyone.”
